Boulèt (Haitian Meatballs)

I love meatballs! What’s not to love about ground beef or turkey (the choice is yours) that has been seasoned with garlic, onions and peppers;

Then rolled into a ball, dredged in flour…


And fried to perfection…

Sounds delicious right? That’s because it is delicious! I’m not a spicy food lover but I do love the slight spiciness of Haitian style meatballs. If you’re not a spicy food lover you can just omit adding the pikliz juice altogether. I love to eat my meatballs served with white rice, Haitian sauce and sòs pwa nwa (black bean puree). Yummy Yum Yum Yum!

If you want to take the taste of your sauce up a notch, place 3-4 fried meatballs in it and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes, I’ll show you how to do that in the video.
